With today's high cost of labor, most laboratories must minimize the time spent in manual manipulation of seed. MAT-OSU mechanized equipment relieves some of the tedious, time-consuming manual work involved in seed purity analysis. This equipment permits the operator to examine the maximum number of seeds in the minimum amount of time while maintaining the accuracy of manual inspection. The MAT-OSU series of equipment was developed based on research performed at Oregon State University.

The MAT-OSU Seed Blower has the high accuracy of a smaller conventional seed blower, but with a larger capacity. The precision of this machine allows it to separate seeds with very small differences in specific gravity. An ideal research unit, the continuous seed blower will handle small or large samples (approximately up to 140 lbs. per hour). Precision controls regulate air "blasts" and seed feeding. Seed is fed to the air stream by a vibratory feeder with variable speed control. The same tube is used for all seed sizes and types. The MAT-OSU seed blower features precision control for repeatable accuracy and no-lash air control for a wide range of separations. For semi-commercial, continuous production a large hopper and bagging attachments are available.  Ship wt. 270 lbs.
