Gustafson's metered slurry treaters use the weight of the seed to operate the seed and chemical metering system. The weight of the seed metered is controlled by placement of the counterweight, while the amount of the chemical metered is determined by the size of chemical cups used in the metering tank.

Each time the weigh pan trips, seed flows into the blending chamber. At the same time, chemical is delivered to the chemical cup receptacle and flows through a vinyl tube to a low-pressure air nozzle system. The nozzle sprays chemical on to the seed in the blending chamber. As the seed and chemical are conveyed through the blending chamber to the discharge, they tumble together, mixing the seed with the chemical.

Model S-100SS Seed Treater standard equipment includes treater head assembly, single metering tank, four pair of metering cups (10cc, 15cc, 20cc, 25cc), 6' long x 8" diameter coating chamber with flighting and rods mixing element and a Disco ® variable speed drive assembly with 1 HP motor. Also includes a low pressure air nozzle. Capacity is 125 to 275 BPH on small seed. Ship dims. 85" L x 30" W x 51" H. Ship wt. 650 lbs.

Premix Tanks: Mixes and pumps chemicals requiring dilution or agitation. The pump and mixing paddles are powered by 1/3 Hp separate motors. Rotating paddles assure complete suspension of all types of chemicals, regardless of tank level. The pump is mounted outside the tank and it’s positive pressure can lift liquid up to 75' vertically depending on viscosity. Equipped with wash system and valves for draining and flushing, 10' of both fill & return hose and D-3 pump kit.

Polyethylene Premix Tank: Has a capacity of 30 gallons and has a centrifugal type pump with 1 HP motor. It mixes the chemical with bypass agitation and pumps it vertically approximately 50' to the metering tank. A bypass valve shuts off pumping for fast initial mixing. Unit includes 10' of fill and return hose.

Powder Attachment: Converts most treaters with a coating chamber to dry type chemical application. Measured amounts of powder are uniformly and continuously applied to the seed by a vibrating feeder. Complete with 50 lb. stainless steel powder hopper, agitator for positive fluffing action and a 1/20 HP 1 PH, 110V gear motor.
